I Am a No-Good Lack of Updates McUpdateless

*edit*  REGISTERED!  WOOT!  *edit*

Yeah...that doesn't make sense, but anyway.

First off, in my defense, I seem to be sick on a regular basis these days.  Which is just fun. *sarcasm* Second off, (can I do that?) achievements and Halloween in WoW have renewed my obsession with the game, which as you all know will become all-consuming on November the 13th.  In good news on that front I was able to trade in enough old games to afford the expansion, so I will be among the nerds at Game Stop at midnight eagerly awaiting my copy.

School is going fairly well, although with abscences due to sickness I may end up with a B in Trig. Which is even sadder than it sounds when you consider that I had to drop down to 14 hours this semester b/c of monetary difficulties. (I dropped Chem II, in case you were wondering.)

I've managed to organize my schedule (fingers crossed b/c registration isn't until the 3rd) so that I don't start class until 12 at the earliest.  This should make it so that I can have a part time job somewhere in the mornings--all dependent on whether I get the lab assisstanceship at NWACC--a job that wouldn't pay quite as well as some others but would be great for experience.  A down-side to that job, however, is that I absolutely despise the Lab Manager...but I'll deal.  Money's money, and experience is priceless. (Mastercard ftw?)

Anyways...here's my schedule (P.S. The Environmental Management class is in there b/c it's being taught by Marv and Ellen, my 2 favorite professors ever.)

Monday
1:30-4:20 Cell Biology
6:00-8:45 World Literature

Tuesday
12:00-2:50 Anatomy and Physiology II
5:30-8:20   Environmental Management

Wednesday
1:30-4:20 Cell Biology

Thursday
12:00-2:50 Anatomy and Physiology II
5:30-8:20   Environmental Management

Friday
1:00-4:00 Western Civilization

So, that's that. My last semester at NWACC before I transfer to the UofA to finish off my BS in Biology (yes, I know that's funny :P).  At this point I'm fairly sure that I want to do research in Bacterial Genetics (OMG PLASMIDS!), probably into R-factors (antibiotic resistance), but phages are also interesting...so we'll see here in a few years. In case any of you didn't know I plan on going into the Cellular and Molecular Biology Graduate program at the UofA, which the BS in Bio. feeds into rather nicely.  Here's hoping I can find some way to pay for it, lol. On a side note, Danae is soooo cute saying "bacterial genetics" (she once was asked what mommy was going to do after school and she said "have a baby!", so I taught her how to say "bacterial genetics" in response to the question--but I used my finger to emphasize the point, so now she uses her finger too, spreading it out to "bac-teer-e-aal ge-net-ics").

I'm having trouble with Microbiology class...I keep getting "yes, that's true but we're not going to go that far in depth in this class"--the professor actually told me not to expect entirely new material until the last month of class (*gag*). Also, nursing students are driving me *NUTS*. They're just so...stupid.  *sigh*

Anyway, sorry I suck at updating (all like 2 of you that care)...I can't promise I'll do better...

But *eh*.

New Meds, New Bosses, New Loot, and Interesting Names

New Meds

Prozac and Tri-sprintec specifically.  Tri-sprintec is a new sort of birth control and not really as important as the Prozac--everyone keep their fingers crossed that Prozac will A: not make me crazier, and B: help with my general anxiety.  Whatever else it may end up doing, I've definitely slept better the last two nights then I have in a looooong time.

New Bosses

Feel free to just, you know, skip this part. Genesis is now pretty deep into Black Temple (we're going back tonight!  woot!), and I'm really enjoying the place so far.  We've killed Naj'entus, Supremus (his toes are twice as tall as Glindie! O.o) and Shade of Akama (1 million damage...pfft, ain't no thing). We're stuck on Teron Gorefiend, however, simply b/c certain people (*cough*Namalia, Tanith and Ramrod*cough*) suck at the whole "kill the ghosts before they kill the raid" thing. Anyway, I like BT about a thousand times better than Mount Hyjal.  So yay!

New Loot

Also a part you can skip (I write this stuff in here b/c it's fun for me to go back and read--this is a lot more like a diary than a blog, I suppose.)
Cuffs of Devastation dropped off Rage Winterchill Wednesday night...and now they are mine! For 650 DKP. Meh.  Our guild seems to have a problem with getting anything other than mail and leather to drop...which means when cloth dps gear drops, it goes for huge amounts of DKP. To put it in perspective, Lysis (a hunter) got an upgrade off of Anatheron (next boss) for 50 DKP, b/c everyone in the guild who could use it already had it. Eh, it's all gonna be useless when WotLK comes out.

"It's a long ray of beam that you can't miss to see."

-Zimmeth, guild leader of Genesis and the first accent I've ever had this much trouble placing.  He's like Hispanic and European all at the same time, but not Portuguese...*throws hands in the air in defeat*

Despite the following things occurring (all during study time for tests, of course):
     -strep throat (me)
-thunderstorm that set the transformer on fire and threw a tree in our well
-my dad having a stroke (turned out to be Bell's Palsy, but we didn't find that out until almost a week later)
-the stomach flu (everyone, each on different days, me first, Jeremy last--he was sick all night the night before Monday's lab test)
I still managed to make an A in my 5 week A&P I (Anatomy and Physiology) course.

I'm not usually a very superstitious person...but I decided not to take A&P II this summer with Dr. Lancaster.  I could use the break anyway. XD

If you haven't gone here and watched these trailers (not to mention Deckard Cain's Journal)...then you should. Really. Even you, Kara. They're just that awesome. WALL OF ZOMBIES!!

Brandon Sanderson is now pretty much my favorite author.  Jonathan especially needs (NEEDS) to read the Mistborn series. Also, it turns out (found this out after I devoured Elantris) that he's going to write A Memory of Light, the last Wheel of Time book. Now I have to read all the Wheel of Time books over again/at all so that I can read a Brandon Sanderson book. *sigh* Seriously though--this guy's writing is incredible, his website is cool (and he cares about it/updates it regularly!), and the Alcatraz book is one of the most hilarious books I have ever read.  Once I buy it (it's the only one I don't have *cry*) I'll put some quotes up here from it--especially the *perfect* one at the end.  Jeremy knows which one I'm talking about I'm sure. Alcatraz II and Mistborn III come out in early October. OMG IS IT OCTOBER YET?!?!?!?

*dies*

Let's see...other than that:

Danae starts school in August (OMGOMGOMGOMGPANICATTACK).

I have an orthopedic appointment tomorrow about my finger (remember, the broken one?). My regular doctor says it's been too long and he can't do anything about it so I have to go to a fancy one. Hopefully 1 of 2 things will happen. A: They don't need to rebreak my finger to fix it. B: I can figure out a way to play WoW anyway. B/c I will. If I can run Kaz'rogal (Mount Hyjal) pulls the second day of the stomach flu, I can do anything!  Anything damnit!! Stop smirking back there!!!

Ahem.

Speaking of WoW, our guild got to face Archimonde the other day (omg hard fight)--which was really cool--if you played WCIII, the Archimonde fight is just like it was in WCIII except you're holding him off until the wisps can step in.  Super awesome.  Not so awesome? The hour of practicing jumping off cliffs until no one died.  Stupid rocks. >.<

Oh, and the Merciless Gladiator's gear was finally enough to get me started pvping, and I'm actually kind of good at it.  See?

Glindie 1st
I forgot to screenshot the AV I was first in. :(  It'll happen again, maybe?  Who knows?

So after a day of PvP now I have these: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32049.  Next I'll get http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32051, which is why you see me in WSG there.  *shudder* At least we won that one, and I've got all my marks for the pants. *shudder again*

Oh, speaking of shuddering and annoying, see that ticket up there, the one that's "escalated" and pushing all my buffs out of the way (thus getting my buffs in the way of Main Tank windows, my target, Decursive, and KTM)?  Yeah...that's been up there for 9 days now.  *sigh* The last time we fought Anetheron I was "strike group" for killing infernals, so I never technically "engaged" Anetheron, so I wasn't able to loot my heroic badges.  Jarffery, who had the exact same problem at the same time has had his badges (and a lack of annoying box) for 6 days now.  MEH.

I think I'm A: pretty much out of things to say, and DOS: running the risk of losing this whole post and not having the will to type it again.

*hugs*
